They are incredibly affectionate, highly playful, and surprisingly fearless.
Maltese are the ultimate lap dogs. They form intensely close bonds with their owners and suffer from severe separation anxiety if left alone. They are highly adaptable to apartment living and require only short daily walks. However, their gorgeous coat does not shed (making them hypoallergenic) but requires intense, daily brushing and professional grooming.
