The Griffon Bruxellois is a highly affectionate, brilliantly smart, and incredibly comical toy breed from Belgium. Recognizable by their distinctive, pushed-in face and prominent beard, they possess a harsh, wiry coat and were originally bred to hunt rats in city stables.
The Brussels Griffon is the ultimate "Velcro dog." They bond intensely with their owner and suffer from severe separation anxiety if left alone. They are highly intelligent, easily trained, and possess a massive personality in a tiny body. They require short daily walks. Their rough coat requires regular brushing and professional hand-stripping.
