The English Springer Spaniel is a highly energetic, brilliantly smart, and fiercely driven flushing spaniel. Bred to "spring" game birds from dense cover into the air for hunters, they are incredibly athletic, intensely eager to please, and possess a stunning, feathered double coat.
The Springer is famously joyful, highly playful, and deeply devoted to its family. They are the ultimate "Velcro dog" and suffer from severe separation anxiety if isolated. They possess boundless stamina and absolutely require vigorous daily running and advanced mental stimulation. Their beautiful coat requires regular brushing and professional trimming to prevent severe matting.
