The Rough Collie is highly intelligent, exceptionally sweet-tempered, and famously beautiful. Immortalized by "Lassie," they possess a stunning, profuse double coat and an incredibly elegant wedge-shaped head. They are highly adaptable and make phenomenal family dogs.
Collies are famously gentle, deeply devoted to children, and intensely eager to please. They are very sensitive and will shut down if scolded harshly. They require moderate daily exercise. However, their herding instincts may cause them to nip at heels, and their massive, luxurious coat requires intense, regular brushing to prevent severe matting and manage extreme shedding.
