The Cirneco dell'Etna is a stunning, incredibly elegant sight-hound hailing from the volcanic slopes of Mount Etna in Sicily. Bred specifically to hunt rabbits over brutal, rocky terrain, they are incredibly fast, fiercely courageous, and possess absolutely massive jumping ability.
The Cirneco is deeply affectionate and wonderfully calm indoors, but intensely driven outdoors. They possess an overwhelming prey drive and will chase anything that moves. Because they can jump incredibly high from a standstill, a remarkably tall, highly secure fence is mandatory. They require vigorous daily running. Their short coat is exceptionally easy to groom.
