The Hannoverscher Schweisshund is a massive, incredibly powerful tracking hound from Germany. Bred specifically for high-altitude tracking of wounded game, they possess a sleek, striking reddish coat, immense stamina, and a remarkable ability to track cold scents over incredibly difficult terrain.
The Hanoverian is an intense, fiercely independent hunter. Indoors, they are calm, deeply affectionate, and highly loyal to their families. However, outdoors, their nose dictates their actions completely. They cannot be trusted off-leash and require an incredibly active owner who can provide massive amounts of daily running. Their short, dense coat is very easy to care for.
