The Stabyhoun is a highly intelligent, intensely athletic, and deeply affectionate pointing and retrieving dog from the Netherlands. They possess a stunning, feathered black-and-white coat, immense stamina, and are equally adept at pointing, retrieving, and tracking.
The Stabyhoun is exceptionally eager to please and highly trainable, lacking the extreme stubbornness of some other pointers. They are deeply affectionate and excellent family dogs, provided they receive massive amounts of vigorous daily exercise. Their beautiful, feathered coat requires regular brushing to prevent tangles and remove field debris.
