The Magyar Agár is a robust, incredibly fast sight-hound from Hungary. Bred by the Magyars to hunt hare and deer across vast, rugged plains, they are more heavily built and possess much greater stamina than a typical Greyhound, capable of running for hours.
The Hungarian Greyhound is deeply affectionate, exceptionally calm indoors, and highly loyal to their families. However, outdoors, they possess an overwhelming prey drive and will chase anything that runs. They absolutely cannot be trusted off-leash and require a daily opportunity to sprint in a highly secure, fenced area. Their short coat is incredibly easy to groom.
