The Black Russian Terrier is a massive, incredibly powerful, and highly intelligent military working dog. Created in the Soviet Union by crossing Giant Schnauzers, Rottweilers, and Airedales, they possess a harsh, wiry black coat, a commanding presence, and were bred to guard military installations.
The BRT is a deeply loyal, fiercely protective guardian. They are highly dominant and require an incredibly firm, experienced owner. They possess boundless energy and absolutely require vigorous daily exercise and advanced obedience training. Their harsh double coat does not shed much but requires regular professional hand-stripping and clipping.
