The Australian Stumpy Tail Cattle Dog is a highly energetic, exceptionally rugged, and brilliantly smart herding dog. Distinguishable from the standard Cattle Dog by their naturally bobbed tail and lighter, leggier build, they were bred to drive wild cattle over vast, brutal Australian terrain.
The "Stumpy" is an intense, fiercely driven working dog. They are deeply loyal to their handler but possess absolutely boundless energy and a strong instinct to bite at heels. They absolutely must have a job to do, such as herding or advanced agility; without it, they become highly destructive. Their short coat is easy to maintain.
