The Presa Canario is a massive, heavily muscled, and intensely powerful guard dog. Originally bred in the Canary Islands for guarding estates and dog fighting, they possess immense strength, a deeply stoic, majestic bearing, and absolutely unparalleled courage.
The Presa Canario is deeply devoted to its family but possesses overwhelming guarding instincts and immense dog aggression. They are highly dominant and naturally suspicious of strangers. They require an incredibly experienced owner, massive early socialization, and firm leadership. They are not suited for apartment living.
