The Bucovina Shepherd is a giant, fiercely protective, and highly majestic livestock guardian. Possessing a stunning, thick white coat with massive black or grey patches, they were bred to protect flocks from predators in the brutal Carpathian mountains with absolute ruthlessness.
The Bucovina is a deeply serious working dog. They bond intensely with their family and are incredibly gentle with their own children, but they possess overwhelming guarding instincts. They require massive early socialization to prevent severe aggression toward strangers. They need vast open spaces to patrol; their thick coat requires regular brushing.
