The Chodský Pes (Bohemian Shepherd) is a highly athletic, brilliantly smart, and incredibly beautiful herding dog from the Czech Republic. Visually resembling a smaller, long-haired German Shepherd, they possess a stunning, thick black-and-tan coat and a remarkably versatile, eager-to-please temperament.
The Bohemian Shepherd is deeply affectionate, highly eager to please, and exceptionally trainable. They are excellent family dogs and lack the intense guarding aggression of some other shepherds. They possess absolutely massive energy reserves and absolutely dominate in agility and obedience. Their stunning coat sheds heavily and requires intense, regular brushing.
