The Chinook is a massive, incredibly powerful, and highly robust sled dog developed in New Hampshire. Bred to combine the blistering speed of Husky racing dogs with the immense hauling power of giant Mastiffs, they possess a stunning tawny coat, boundless stamina, and are fiercely loyal to their pack.
The Chinook is a highly serious, intensely driven working dog. They are deeply devoted to their family but possess an overwhelming prey drive and absolutely boundless energy. They demand an incredibly experienced owner and absolutely massive amounts of daily exercise, preferably pulling weight. Strong, Nordic cat names (or dog names, rather) suit their rugged appearance perfectly. Their thick coat requires regular brushing.
