The Porcelaine is arguably the most beautiful of the French scenthounds, named for its pristine, glowing white coat that resembles fine porcelain. Originally bred to hunt hare and deer, they are incredibly elegant, highly agile, and fiercely driven trackers with an exceptionally musical baying voice.
Despite their delicate appearance, the Porcelaine is a rugged, tireless hunter. In the home, they are famously gentle, highly affectionate, and excellent with children. Because they are pack hounds, they require immense socialization and hate being alone. They need vigorous daily exercise, and their short, glowing coat requires regular brushing to keep it looking pristine.
