Training Your Puli

Instantly recognizable by their dreadlocked coat, the Puli is an incredibly agile, highly intelligent, and famously acrobatic Hungarian herding dog.

Key Training Tips:

• Agility Training: They are phenomenal jumpers and incredibly fast. Engaging them in agility courses is the absolute best way to train and exercise them.
• Vocal Warnings: They are excellent, vocal watchdogs. You must teach them when it is appropriate to bark and when to stop.
• Respect Their Independence: They are smart enough to assess a situation themselves. Use highly valuable rewards to convince them that your commands are worth following.

They are fiercely loyal to their families but can be aloof with strangers, requiring early socialization.
