Training Your Pumi

The Pumi is a highly energetic, incredibly smart Hungarian herding dog with a terrier-like spirit and a uniquely curly coat.

Key Training Tips:

• Keep it Fast-Paced: They think incredibly fast and bore easily. Keep training sessions short, highly varied, and extremely fun, or they will simply invent their own games.
• Barking Management: They are vocal and alert. Teach the "quiet" command early, as they love to use their voice while working or playing.

They absolutely dominate in agility and obedience, requiring an intensely active, engaged owner.
