• The "Velcro" Herder: They bond intensely with their family and suffer if isolated. Training must involve the whole family to ensure they respect everyone, not just one person.
• Socialization is Crucial: They are naturally wary of strangers and highly protective of their "flock." Extensive early socialization is mandatory.
• Positive Motivation: They are independent thinkers. You must convince them that obeying is rewarding using high-value treats and praise.

They require significant daily exercise and excel in advanced obedience and herding trials.
