Training Your Boxer

Boxers are exuberant, incredibly playful, and sometimes stubborn. They mature slowly, meaning you will essentially be training a 70-pound puppy for several years.

Key Training Tips:

• Control the Jumping: Boxers love to jump on people to greet them. Teach the "sit" command as the only acceptable way to say hello.
• Keep It Fun: If training becomes boring or repetitive, a Boxer will simply walk away. Make it an exciting game.
• Positive Reinforcement: They are surprisingly sensitive to reprimands. Use treats and enthusiastic praise to motivate them.

Patience is essential. Consistency will eventually pay off, resulting in a wonderfully behaved, fun-loving companion.
