The Irish Setter is a stunningly beautiful, high-energy, and famously rambunctious breed that retains its puppy-like exuberance for years.

• Patience with Maturity: They mature very slowly. You will essentially be training a highly distractible puppy for the first three years of their life.
• Massive Exercise: They require a tremendous amount of daily running. A tired Setter is the only kind of Setter that will focus on training.
• Keep it Fun: They bore easily and hate repetitive drills. Make training feel like a fast-paced, exciting game.
