Training Your Schillerstövare

The Schillerstövare is an incredibly fast, highly elegant, and fiercely driven scenthound from Sweden. They are highly intelligent but intensely independent.

Key Training Tips:

• Scent Distraction: When their nose hits the ground, their ears turn off completely. They must be kept in securely fenced areas or on a leash at all times outdoors.
• Vigorous Exercise: They require massive amounts of running to burn off their hunting energy. A tired hound is a calm, trainable hound inside the house.

They are highly affectionate, calm indoor companions when properly exercised.
