Training Your Giant Schnauzer

The Giant Schnauzer is a large, powerful, and intensely driven working dog. They are highly intelligent but demand a very firm, experienced owner.

Key Training Tips:

• Respect is Earned: They will test your authority constantly. You must be an incredibly consistent, unwavering leader to gain their respect.
• Intense Exercise: They possess massive stamina. Vigorous running or advanced working trials (like Schutzhund) are absolutely mandatory.
• Socialization: They are naturally suspicious and highly protective. Extensive socialization prevents them from becoming overly aggressive watchdogs.
