Famous for their "Sammy smile," the Samoyed is a stunning, heavily coated sled dog. They are highly social, eager to work, and incredibly vocal.

Key Training Tips:

• Barking Control: They are famously vocal and love to howl or bark. Teaching the "quiet" command is difficult but absolutely necessary.
• Boredom Prevention: They are intelligent working dogs. If left alone in a yard, they will dig massive holes and destroy fencing. Keep them mentally engaged.
• Pack Mentality: They crave close association with their families. Training must involve the whole family to establish a clear pack hierarchy.

They respond wonderfully to positive, reward-based training and excel in agility, sledding, and weight-pulling sports.
