The Boerboel is a massive, incredibly powerful mastiff bred in South Africa to protect homesteads from lions and baboons. They are fiercely dominant.

Key Training Tips:

• Expert Leadership Required: They are highly protective and intensely dominant. You must be a calm, supremely confident leader, or they will take charge.
• Massive Socialization: Their guarding instincts are profound. They must be heavily socialized from birth to prevent unmanageable aggression toward strangers.

They are deeply devoted to their families but are highly dangerous in the hands of an inexperienced owner.
