The Manchester Terrier is a sleek, highly elegant, and incredibly fast ratter bred in 19th-century England. Looking like a miniature Doberman Pinscher, they combine the speed of a whippet with the fierce courage of a terrier. They are highly alert and fiercely loyal.
Despite their refined appearance, Manchesters are intense working dogs. They are brilliant problem solvers, deeply affectionate with their families, and make exceptional watchdogs. They possess a massive prey drive and will chase anything that moves. Their short, glossy coat is incredibly easy to care for, but they are highly sensitive to cold weather.
