Group :Terriers Section : Small sized Terriers
The Norwich Terrier is one of the smallest working terriers, but possesses absolutely massive courage. Recognizable by their distinctive prick ears and harsh, wiry coat, they were bred in England to hunt foxes and eradicate rodents. They are robust, highly energetic, and famously cheerful.
The Norwich is deeply affectionate, highly social, and less argumentative than typical terriers. They are excellent family dogs and thrive in active households. However, they possess a strong prey drive and absolutely require a secure yard and daily exercise. Their harsh, wiry coat sheds very little but requires regular hand-stripping to maintain its texture.
