The German Pinscher is a highly athletic, intensely alert, and incredibly versatile farm dog. The progenitor of the Doberman and Miniature Pinscher, they possess a sleek, muscular build and were originally bred to guard property and hunt rats with absolute ruthlessness.
The German Pinscher is brilliantly smart but notoriously dominant and stubborn. They are fiercely loyal to their families but naturally suspicious of strangers. They require an experienced owner, firm leadership, and vigorous daily exercise to prevent destructive boredom. Their short, sleek coat is incredibly easy to groom.
