The Sloughi (Arabian Greyhound) is an incredibly elegant, intensely fast sight-hound from North Africa. Bred to hunt desert game over brutal, sandy terrain, they possess a sleek, short coat, immense stamina, and an aristocratic, deeply dignified bearing.
The Sloughi is deeply loyal to its family but famously aloof and highly suspicious of strangers. They are excellent, calm house pets indoors, but possess an overwhelming prey drive outdoors and will chase anything that runs. They absolutely cannot be trusted off-leash. Their extremely short coat requires almost no grooming, but they are highly sensitive to cold.
