The Borzoi (Russian Hunting Sighthound) is a giant, incredibly elegant, and blazingly fast sight-hound. Bred by Russian aristocracy to hunt wolves in brutal winter conditions, they possess a stunning, silky, flowing coat and a profoundly dignified, aristocratic bearing.
The Borzoi is exceptionally gentle, deeply affectionate, and surprisingly lazy indoors. They are wonderful family companions but possess a massive prey drive outdoors and will chase anything that runs. They absolutely cannot be trusted off-leash. They require a daily opportunity to sprint in a highly secure area. Their silky coat requires intense regular brushing.
