The PON (Polski Owczarek Nizinny) is a highly intelligent, intensely agile herding dog from Poland. Covered in a profuse, shaggy, corded or wavy coat that falls over their eyes, they were bred to herd and guard sheep across the Polish plains, possessing incredible stamina.
The PON is famously clever, highly playful, and deeply devoted to its family. They possess an exceptional memory and absolutely require a job to do; without advanced obedience or agility training, they will outsmart their owners and become destructive. Their massive, shaggy coat requires intense, daily brushing to prevent severe matting, which is a massive time commitment.
