The Saluki is an ancient, incredibly elegant, and blazingly fast sight-hound from the Middle East. Bred to hunt gazelles over brutal desert terrain, they possess a stunning, silky, feathered coat, immense stamina, and a profoundly dignified, aristocratic bearing.
The Saluki is exceptionally gentle, deeply affectionate, and surprisingly lazy indoors. They are wonderful family companions but possess a massive prey drive outdoors and will chase anything that runs. They absolutely cannot be trusted off-leash. They require a daily opportunity to sprint in a highly secure area.
