Group :Terriers Section : Small sized Terriers
The Norfolk Terrier is one of the smallest working terriers, but possesses absolutely massive courage. Recognizable by their distinctive drop ears (unlike the prick-eared Norwich) and harsh, wiry coat, they were bred to hunt foxes and eradicate rodents. They are highly energetic.
The Norfolk is deeply affectionate, highly social, and less argumentative than typical terriers. They are excellent family dogs and thrive in active households. However, they possess a strong prey drive and absolutely require a secure yard and daily exercise. Their harsh, wiry coat sheds very little but requires regular hand-stripping.
