The Thai Ridgeback is an ancient, highly primitive, and intensely athletic guard dog and hunter from Thailand. Instantly recognizable by the distinct ridge of backward-growing hair on their spine, they possess a sleek coat, massive jumping ability, and an incredibly independent nature.
The Thai Ridgeback is deeply devoted to its family but possesses overwhelming guarding instincts and an immense prey drive. They are naturally highly suspicious of strangers and fiercely protective. They require an incredibly experienced owner, massive early socialization, and firm leadership. Their short coat is easy to care for, but they are highly sensitive to cold.
