The Gończy Polski is a highly athletic, intensely driven scenthound from Poland. Recognized by their striking black-and-tan or brown-and-tan coat, they were bred to hunt wild boar and deer across brutal, mountainous terrain. They possess exceptional stamina and a remarkably beautiful voice.
This breed is a highly serious, intensely driven working dog. They are deeply loyal to their handler but are independent thinkers who do not respond to repetitive obedience drills. They require an incredibly active owner who can provide massive amounts of daily running. Their short, dense coat is highly weather-resistant and incredibly easy to care for.
