The Gos Rater Valencià (Valencian Terrier) is a highly energetic, exceptionally agile, and brilliantly smart working terrier from Spain. Traditionally bred to hunt rats and protect farms in the Valencia region, they possess a sleek, short coat and an intensely alert, joyful demeanor.
The Valencian Terrier is deeply affectionate, highly social, and fiercely protective of its family. They make excellent, vocal watchdogs and thrive in active households. However, they possess an overwhelming prey drive and absolutely require a secure yard and daily exercise. Their short coat sheds moderately but requires virtually no grooming.
