The Old English Sheepdog is a massive, incredibly robust herding dog instantly recognizable by its profuse, shaggy coat and bear-like gait. Originally bred as a drover to drive cattle and sheep to market across rugged English terrain, they are immensely powerful yet famously sweet-tempered and deeply affectionate.
The OES is famously clownish, highly intelligent, and exceptionally devoted to its family. They are excellent, gentle guardians of children. Despite their massive size, they are remarkably agile. The biggest consideration is their coat; they require intense, daily brushing all the way down to the skin to prevent severe, painful matting, which is a massive time commitment.
