The "Scottie" is a dignified, highly independent, and famously stubborn terrier. They possess a bold, confident attitude and demand respect.

Key Training Tips:

• Patience and Respect: They do not care about pleasing you. You must convince them that obeying is rewarding using high-value treats and extreme patience.
• Dog Aggression: They can be highly combative with other dogs. Extensive early socialization and closely monitored playdates are absolutely critical.
• Prey Drive: They will chase anything that moves. Flawless recall is difficult to achieve, so they must always be leashed outdoors.

They form an intensely deep bond with one or two people and make exceptionally loyal, albeit stubborn, companions.
