Training Your Beauceron

The Beauceron is a large, powerful, and highly intelligent French herding dog. They are often described as having a "serious" mind and demand respect.

Key Training Tips:

• Firm, Confident Leadership: They are not for novice owners. You must be an unwavering, confident leader, or they will assume command of the household.
• Advanced Work: Basic obedience is child’s play for them. They excel in Schutzhund, agility, and competitive obedience; they absolutely need a challenging job.
• Intense Socialization: They are naturally protective and highly suspicious of strangers. Massive early socialization is required to prevent aggression.

They are deeply loyal to their families but do not tolerate harsh or unfair physical corrections.
