Golden Retrievers are highly trainable, fiercely intelligent, and live to please their owners. They are a joy to teach and thrive in obedience and agility training.

Key Training Tips:

• Gentle Guidance: Goldens are sensitive souls. They respond best to upbeat, positive reinforcement and can shut down if treated harshly.
• Mental Stimulation: Teach them advanced tricks or give them "jobs" around the house, like carrying the mail.
• Bite Inhibition: As retrievers, they are "mouthy" puppies. Provide plenty of chew toys and teach them what is acceptable to bite early on.
