The Tiroler Bracke is a highly rugged, intensely resilient scenthound from Austria. Bred to hunt foxes and hares in the steep, brutal terrain of the Tyrolean Alps, they possess incredible stamina, exceptional scenting ability, and a highly weather-resistant double coat.
This breed is an intense, fiercely independent hunter. Indoors, they are calm, deeply affectionate, and highly loyal to their families. However, outdoors, their nose dictates their actions completely. They cannot be trusted off-leash and require an incredibly active owner who can provide massive amounts of daily running. Their short, dense coat is very easy to care for.
