The Epagneul de Pont-Audemer is a rare, highly energetic pointing spaniel from France. Known for their unique, curly brown-and-roan coat and a distinctive "topknot" of curly hair on their head, they are incredibly robust water retrievers with immense stamina.
The Pont-Audemer is famously joyful, highly playful, and deeply affectionate with its family. They are known as the clowns of the marshes. Because they are bred to hunt all day, they absolutely require vigorous daily exercise and mental stimulation. Their unique, curly coat is weather-resistant and requires regular brushing to prevent tangles.
