The Ogar Polski is a massive, heavily built, and incredibly powerful scenthound from Poland. Bred to track large game through dense, unforgiving forests, they are fiercely courageous, highly resilient, and possess a remarkable, deep baying voice that carries for miles.
Unlike many scenthounds, the Polish Hound is surprisingly calm, deeply loyal, and highly protective of its family. They are excellent, robust companions but mature very slowly. They require vigorous daily exercise and firm, patient training, as they are independent thinkers. Their short, thick coat is highly weather-resistant and requires only weekly brushing.
