The German Shorthaired Pointer is a highly athletic, brilliantly smart, and fiercely driven versatile hunting dog. Recognizable by their striking, sleek liver-and-white coat and incredibly powerful build, they are elite athletes bred to point, track, and retrieve on land and in water.
The GSP is intensely loyal and highly eager to please, making them exceptionally trainable. However, they possess absolutely boundless energy. They absolutely require vigorous daily running and advanced mental stimulation; a short walk is never enough. Without a job to do, they become highly destructive. Their short, sleek coat is incredibly easy to groom but sheds moderately.
