The Pudelpointer is a brilliantly smart, highly athletic, and fiercely driven versatile hunting dog. Developed in Germany by crossing Poodles with Pointers, they possess a harsh, wiry coat, a distinctive beard, and combine the intelligence of the Poodle with the intense drive of the Pointer.
The Pudelpointer is deeply affectionate, highly eager to please, and exceptionally trainable. They are excellent, calm family companions indoors, but possess absolutely massive energy reserves outdoors. They require vigorous daily running and advanced mental stimulation. Their harsh, wiry coat requires regular brushing and hand-stripping to maintain its weather-resistant texture.
