The Alaskan Malamute is a giant, incredibly powerful, and profoundly majestic sled dog. Possessing a stunning, thick double coat and immense bone structure, they were bred not for speed, but to haul impossibly heavy loads over brutal, freezing Arctic ice for massive distances.
The Malamute is deeply devoted to its family and exceptionally friendly with strangers, making them terrible guard dogs. However, they possess an overwhelming prey drive and immense dog aggression. They demand an incredibly experienced owner, firm leadership, and absolutely massive amounts of daily exercise. Their huge double coat requires intense, regular brushing.
