The Cane Corso is a massive, heavily muscled, and incredibly powerful guard dog from Italy. Descended from Roman war dogs, they possess immense strength, a deeply stoic, majestic bearing, and absolutely unparalleled courage. They are a highly serious working breed.
The Cane Corso is deeply devoted to its family but possesses overwhelming guarding instincts and immense dog aggression. They are highly dominant and naturally suspicious of strangers. They require an incredibly experienced owner, massive early socialization, and firm leadership. They are not suited for apartment living. Their short coat is easy to care for.
