Training Your Vizsla

The Vizsla is an elegant, highly affectionate "velcro dog." They are incredibly smart and want to be physically near you during all training.

Key Training Tips:

• Gentle Corrections: They are perhaps the most sensitive of all pointing breeds. Never yell; they respond beautifully to soft praise and treats.
• Separation Anxiety: Train them early to be comfortable alone for short periods, as they are highly prone to separation anxiety.
• Vigorous Activity: They are tireless runners. Combine obedience training with jogging or biking to keep them fulfilled.

They are brilliant learners who will eagerly perform complex tricks just to see you smile.
