Training Your Field Spaniel

The Field Spaniel is a docile, highly sensitive, and deeply devoted breed. They are more reserved than other spaniels and require a gentle hand.

Key Training Tips:

• Extreme Sensitivity: Never yell or use harsh corrections. A harsh tone will deeply upset them and ruin the training session.
• Build Confidence: Because they can be timid, use heavy praise and treats to build their confidence when learning new tasks.
• Leash Walking: They have strong noses and will pull if they catch a scent. Practice loose-leash walking consistently.

They are incredibly affectionate and make exceptionally well-behaved family dogs when trained with love and patience.
