The Volpino Italiano is a highly intelligent, intensely alert, and incredibly devoted spitz breed. They are vocal watchdogs with a massive personality.

Key Training Tips:

• Barking Control: They are exceptional watchdogs and will bark at every passing shadow. Teach the "quiet" command early and consistently.
• Small Dog Syndrome: Do not let them dominate the house just because they are cute. Enforce strict rules and require them to earn treats through obedience.

They respond wonderfully to clicker training and love being the center of attention.
