Training Your Welsh Corgi (Cardigan)

The Cardigan Welsh Corgi (the one with the tail) is a highly intelligent, intensely loyal herding dog. They are slightly more reserved than the Pembroke.

Key Training Tips:

• Herding Instincts: They will attempt to herd running children or other pets by nipping at their heels. You must redirect this behavior early using toys or structured games.
• Barking Control: They are exceptional watchdogs and will alert you to everything. Teach them when it is appropriate to stop barking.

They learn incredibly fast and absolutely dominate in obedience and agility trials.
